Pour Over Brewing

Coffee to Water Ratio

1:16 to 1:17 (e.g., 20g coffee to 320-340g water)

Water Temperature

92-96°C (198-205°F)

Grind Size

Medium-fine (similar to table salt)

Brew Time

2.5 to 3.5 minutes

Basic Steps

  1. Place filter in dripper and rinse with hot water
  2. Add coffee grounds and level the bed
  3. Bloom with 2x coffee weight in water for 30 seconds
  4. Pour remaining water in slow, circular motions
  5. Allow to draw down completely

French Press Brewing

Full-bodied, rich, and textured coffee

Coffee to Water Ratio

1:15 to 1:16 (e.g., 30g coffee to 450-480g water)

Water Temperature

90-94°C (194-201°F)

Grind Size

Coarse (similar to breadcrumbs)

Brew Time

4 minutes

Basic Steps

  1. Add coffee grounds to clean French press
  2. Pour hot water over all grounds, ensuring all are saturated
  3. Stir gently, place lid with plunger up
  4. Wait 4 minutes, then press slowly and steadily
  5. Serve immediately to avoid over-extraction

Moka Pot Brewing

Strong, espresso-like coffee for stovetop

Coffee Amount

Fill basket without tamping

Water Temperature

Use hot water from the start

Grind Size

Fine to medium-fine

Brew Time

5-7 minutes total

Cold Brew

Smooth, low-acidity coffee concentrate

Coffee to Water Ratio

1:4 to 1:8 for concentrate

Room temperature or cold water

Coarse (similar to French press)

12-24 hours in refrigerator
